  • Overview

    This position is responsible for providing support and solutions to users of our construction accounting and project management software, Vista by Viewpoint. Using your experience and knowledge of project management, estimating, accounting, or payroll, you will engage with internal managers and employees/users across our company to identify and develop solutions that optimize the use of our construction software, improve flow of information, and simplify the process for project management. This role supports both the day-to-day escalated user issues as well as creating, implementing, and managing future enhancements to the system.


    Key responsibilities include:
    • Assisting employees in the use of Vista by Viewpoint (ERP solution) to perform their job requirements, specifically in areas of accounting, payroll, and project management
    • Improving process workflow, investigating and implementing resolution of issues, and actively seeking feedback to identify and solve operational challenges that are addressed by leveraging our systems
    • Supporting or teaching users on current functionality
    • Managing the selection, implementation, and roll out of new features
    • Aiding in the testing, development and implementation of new releases and company-specific system improvements, including 3rd party add-on solutions
    • Serve as liaison between Vista by Viewpoint and SAK to ensure user’s software needs are being addressed

    • Ability to quickly develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of software products and remain expert on current product knowledge, both from an internal and from a user perspective
    • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to balance and prioritize a diverse workload
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; Listen effectively, transmit information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback
    • Effectively present and explain information to various group sizes and levels of knowledge


    • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience working in the construction business, project management, accounting, or a related field
    • An Associate's degree with 5 years of relevant industry experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
    • A strong working knowledge of construction workflows and construction specific software systems is preferred
    • Strong understanding of general business and accounting, project management, or estimating principles and practices is preferred
    • Intermediate level of experience with core MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Ability to occasionally adjust work schedule to meet the business needs of end users
